Muffin Wednesday: Chocolate Chip

I chose Chocolate Chip for this week's Muffin Wednesday experiment. Sounded like such a good idea. BUT... it wasn't.
Melva was my faithful assistant in the kitchen!
The recipe was simple. The finished product just didn't taste that good.

Preheat to 400 degrees. Line or grease muffin tins.

1 egg
1 c sour cream
1/2 c milk
1 3/4 c flour
2 T sugar
1 t baking powder
1/2 t baking soda
1 t salt
1 c chocolate chips

1. In a small bowl, beat egg. Stir in sour cream and milk.

2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Pour in egg mixture and stir just until moistened. Fold in chocolate chips.

3. Spoon batter into prepared tin, filling about 3/4 full. Bake for 20-25 minutes.

These little guys looked good. They puffed up nicely and turned golden. We all had high hopes - but they just weren't that great. We didn't spit them out or anything, but we didn't really enjoy the experience.

Kinda blah. Don't bother.
