Tangible love

This is John, Rachel and Oscar. Rachel is my friend's daughter. She's been bravely battling cancer for a while now, and we just received word last night that they've decided to stop chemo and enter hospice care.

My heart is absolutely broken for this young family, as well as all the extended family I know and love.

I'm going to steal the words of another friend, posted just now on Facebook, because I can't say it better:

"This isn't a story about cancer anymore, it's a story about tangibly loving one another. Please take a moment to send some love to our friends as they support their sister."
