A year ago, I blogged about Jeff Alan, the last news director for whom I worked at KOIN-TV. Like I said before, I always knew something was "off" about this guy, but when The Oregonian did a three-part expose, we all found out how truly "off" he is, including allegations of identity theft and being declared dead after vanishing from his family.Today, he was arrested at his Northwest Portland home after a federal grand jury handed down an indictment. Oregon Media Central reminded readers that: Alan had sued KOIN for millions after his 2008 firing, claiming wrongful termination in a very colorful lawsuit (possibly NSFW). It was later revealed that Alan ran a website selling bondage gear under the pseudonym "Sir J."
