Merry Christmas, Ma and Pa!

We partnered with Eryn and Mom to give Ma and Pa an experience for Christmas this year.

The plan was a Jan. 2 family road trip to the coast for lunch and treats. But unbeknownst to us, the grandparents were already planning to spend New Years at their beach house. So we altered plans a bit and decided to meet them at the first stop: Pelican Pub in Pacific City.

Brad had the week off, so we chose to camp in Lincoln City for a few days and also meet up in PC. We borrowed Mom's trailer and set up at Devil's Lake Campground:
Mom and Eryn met us at the campsite Thursday, and we carpooled north to start our adventure. We had a little time before, so Brad and I squeezed in a run:
Then we all gathered for yummy lunch with ocean views.
Then we caravaned north to the Tillamook Creamery for dessert. Ma and Pa hadn't been to the creamery since it reopened, so we all had fun going through the new exhibits and playing in the bus:
We 100% did not fit inside. Good thing Brad was taking the pic instead of also trying to squeeze :) Lots of laughs!
Of course, we had to get ice cream!

We parted ways, Ma and Pa returning to their Oceanside home and us heading back to our rainy campsite in Lincoln City.

We all had a blast and decided experience gifts are the best :) Already thinking of next year's adventure!
