Cleveland rocks!

First stop on our whirlwind family road trip was Cleveland. We flew in Friday evening with one goal in mind: visiting Christine! We met up at Melt Bar & Grilled, a place recently highlighted on the Food Network's Guy's Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. There was a major wait for six people, so we piled in the rented minivan and drove the short distance to Lakewood Park on Lake Erie.
We still had time to kill, so we scooted over to nearby Edgewater Park for more sightseeing and photo ops.
We returned to Melt and waited more, this time in their funky lobby.
Finally seated outside on the super-cool patio:

FOOD!
For my gourmet grilled cheese sandwich I chose the Mushroom Melt with garlic portabellos, caramel port onions and provolone. WOW.
Eryn, my not-quite-100-pound sister, ordered The Godfather, three-cheese lasagna INSIDE a grilled cheese sandwich! I would have taken a picture of it if I wasn't so hungry.
After dinner, we said goodbye to Christine and headed to our hotel.
