Solidarity run

I will be joining with others from all over the area in the Boston Solidarity and Remembrance Run in Portland.

I am so excited to show my support for the entire running community. This feels so very important to me.

Here's the official info from The Portland Triathlon Club

Your PTC board of directors wants to bring everyone together in the best and quickest way we know how to support and remember our athletic friends, their families and fellow competitors who were in Boston today and especially to those injured and tragically killed by this senseless act.

Please join us at 6:30 PM Wednesday evening at the East Bank Esplanade, by the fire station and Vera Katz statue for a 1 loop friendly group run. We will be congregating as a group and will run the entire loop as a group. If you have PTC gear wear it and if you can, put a black band on your shoulder strap or wear a black arm warmer on your left arm. If you have Boston Marathon gear wear it. Written signs and symbols of support are greatly encouraged.

This is an open invitation to the entire running community so if you have friends in area athletic clubs, stores and businesses pass the word and have them wear their representative kits/ gear as well. Let's make this thing huge and show how tied together we are as a community from the best running state in the country. Power is in numbers and healing is in community.

Please respond to this post and repost so others can read it and bring your friends, neighbors, co-workers and family to join. Let's create all the positive vibes we can muster for our friends in Boston. We hope to see you there.

Your Board of Directors,

Zach, Cindy, Becky, Kevin, Wyatt, Carolyn, Jon

Join me! :)
