A race, a wedding, and Angel's Rest (7/1/17)

Saturday was packed with adventure!

I started my day early with the Rise Up 5K to support progressive charities. It was a nationwide event to resist the Trump administration. YES, please!
The un-timed run, hosted by Fleet Feet in NW Portland, went east on Overton and south on Naito before reversing back to the store.
Danielle, Aubrey, Sue and Nana (in her pussy hat!) were also there. The running/progressive community is so rad! #resist

Next, I showered, put on a skirt and drove to Newberg for Stephanie and George's wedding! The NFC Ringers played for the special day - such an honor! It also marked the last time our group is playing together, as our church is splitting. It's so sad to see our group disolve, but most of us already plan to play in our new congregation!
Cutest couple ever!
Always a treat to hear this guy (and the rest of the Newberg Brass) play!
Meantime, Brad was hiking with his dad, celebrating Steve's RETIREMENT!!! Because of my wedding commitment, I had to sit that one out.

And as if we hadn't done enough already, we picked up Brittany and drove to Angel's Rest for a sunset hike.
It was warm and fairly calm, so we hung out as the sun dropped below the hills.
Stolen from Brittany's Facebook feed

Also stolen :)
Sunlight faded as we hiked down, but headlamps showed us the way.

It was a perfect summer day full of love and fun! :)
