I love girls' weekend

It had been too long... we had to get away. Plus, Sarah is leaving in just two weeks to start her internship - and become Dr. Sarah, psychologist extraordinaire!

So we headed to Oceanside for Girls' Weekend May 2011! YIPPEE!

It was all very low key. Lots of lounging, eating, chatting, napping, reading, eating, cooking, walking, eating, sleeping, nail painting. Saturday was spent almost entirely in PJs. PERFECT.

Traditional cheese buffet. I count 17 different kinds of cheese on that table!!!
After a lot of slothfulness and then a bit of peer pressure, we walked down to the beach for some "exercise" and pictures:
The weather was cloudy by very mild the whole weekend. But the sun managed to poke through a couple times during our beach walk:
For a moment, we thought this was the path to Heaven we were about to get raptured through:
It wasn't.

Unfortunately, before we knew it, it was time to pack up, clean the house and drive back to reality in the valley. How about a group shot before we leave:
