I'd been averaging about a book a week until No. 6. Brad had been bugging me for awhile to read The Screwtape Letters, which he said was one of his favorites. He cruised through it in one sitting. I was excited to read the classic.
But then I actually started it. Ugh. I don't know if it's because it was written awhile ago or because C.S. Lewis was British, but I found it very difficult to read. I enjoyed the satire and the comments on the human/Christian condition, but I thought the voice and language was very odd. I literally didn't know what he was trying to say a lot of the time.
I struggled through it and finally finished. Yay!
Next....
