Brad's folks invited us to spend the weekend with them at Eagle Crest near Redmond.
Saturday, we slept in and then went to the High Desert Museum south of Bend.
I think we spent about 5 hours checking out the exhibits and listening to some talks, including Birds of Prey:
And, of course, I tried on the kiddie hats in the gift shop. I liked the bear :)
It was really cold! So we bundled up for the outdoor exhibits:
We were all very impressed by the museum. I didn't think I'd be that into it, but I liked it a lot. And the exhibits were all very well done!
Time for some self portraits :)
They had brochures for the Goody's candy/ice cream factory tour. $2 - and it included six samples. It was on the way back to the cabin, so we stopped!
It was a fun little random activity. Yum!
Sunday, we woke to lots of snowfall. It didn't stick, but it sure was fun to look at.
We decided to go for a little hike at Tumalo Falls:
Good thing we bundled up, because it started snowing on us!
With the snow and fireplace in the cabin - oh, and hot spiced cider, it was the perfect kickoff to fall/winter :)
Thanks for sharing your vacation with us, Steve and Donna!
