It's official: Brad's family has invaded Newberg :)
When Brad was just a little guy, his immediate family moved from the Midwest to Oregon when dad Steve accepted a pastor position at Newberg Friends Church. So Brad and Jill grew up without extended family nearby - such a different experience from my family, which is mostly in the Portland area!
But over the past years, more and more of his family has been moving into the area. First came cousin Mike and his wife, Aj. Then it was Grandma and Grandpa Wood. Now, Uncle Dick and Aunt Louise have packed up and moved west to join the party!
Lou flew out while Dick and Uncle Stan drove across out with all the stuff. The men arrived this past week, and we had to get together for a little celebration.
Uncle Dick:
Notice his shirt?? He's a big hunter. Stories of dead ducks never get old, especially at dinner. ;) Grandma Wood and Aunt Louise (man, those sisters are two peas in a pod!!):
Uncle Stan stuck around for a couple days before flying back to east. Brothers Stan and Steve and cousin Deborah:
The youngest of the three generations gathered for Sunday dinner:
It's so nice to have Brad's family close! I can't wait for more family fun :)
