Bragging

I just have to brag for a minute about my friend, Phil.

Phil is a junior at Tigard High. Besides being just a super-nice, respectful, responsible, funny guy, he's a very talented musician, theater tech and computer guru.

He's in numerous performing groups, and when asked to join my church handbell choir, he gladly stepped up and now plays like an old pro.

So Phil recently did some IT certification testing and rocked it. Like REALLY rocked it! Our THS computer teacher just shared this e-mail from an HP executive guy:

I just wanted to say congratulations on obtaining your HP ATA – Designing & Deploying Cloud Solutions certification. You should be proud to know that you are the first person in the world to obtain the certification. You did this without a full curriculum and while competing against college students and IT professionals. Mr. Fulton speaks very highly of you, and I can see why. You have truly accomplished an impressive feat.

Did you catch that? Phil's the first person in the world to earn this certification... competing against college students and IT professionals. (He's 16 years old!)
